Most importantly, this patch fixes over 25 game progression bugs caused by item errors, NPCs not spawning or getting stuck (or constantly stalking you), and vehicles not spawning.

Among the improvements is the ability to free up space on your PS5’s internal hard drive by moving games into external storage. Final Fantasy XIV Online is releasing on the PS5 today, as an open beta. The online multiplayer game has been enhanced to take advantage of the PS5’s power and features, including 4K resolution and higher frame rates than the PS4 version, and improved loading times.

On the PS5, the top seller was Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the US and FIFA 21 in Europe. It Takes Two had a strong debut in both regions, finishing in the top 5, despite only being available for a week.

Another delay has hit Deathloop on the PS5, further delaying the game. The game was originally scheduled to be a launch window title for the PS5, expected to be release in Holiday 2020, and then delayed to Q2 2021. It now turns out that Q2 isn’t achievable either, and the game has been delayed to September 2021.

Zombie Army 4 is one of the three new games available this month on PlayStation Plus, and is available to download now. Developer Rebellion has also just updated the game to improve backwards compatibility with the PS5, adding in a Dynamic 4K60 mode.

Almost 5 month on since the release of the PS5, it’s disappointing to see that the software is still somewhat unstable. Sony has released five firmware updates for the console in as many months as the console has been available, but the dredded CE-108262-9 error is still being encountered by gamers.

PlayStation Now has been updated for April, with two big games joining the lineup. Marvel’s Avengers and Borderlands 3 join the service for a limited time, along with The Long Dark, which is a permanent addition. Marvel’s Avengers is a very time-limited game, available only for 3 months, until 5th July 2021.
