EU PlayStation Store Update for 24th March 2020

This week’s new game releases for the European PlayStation have been revealed. For the PS4, over 30 new games will be added to the store over the coming days, including One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, PS VR title Paper Beast, and cosmic horror title Moons of Madness.

Sony Offers Clarification on PS5 Backwards Compatibility

Last Week, PS5 lead architect Mark Cerny gave a presentation on the PS5’s technical specs, including backwards compatibility with the PS4. Cerny mentioned that most of the PS4’s top 100 games would be playable on the PS5 from launch. Sony has now offered a clarification on what it means for the other 4000+ PS4 games.

Dreams Update v2.07 Now Available to Download

Media Molecule has release another update for their PS4 exclusive title Dreams. Update v2.07 is now available to download for the game, bringing with it a number of bug fixes and general improvements. You can see the release notes for the update below.

Physical Orders for Final Fantasy VII Remake may be Delayed

Square Enix has announced that some Final Fantasy VII Remake pre-orders and day one orders may not be fulfilled due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus COVID-19. Square Enix are monitoring the situation and will have further updates.

PS5 Specs Officially Revealed

Earlier today, Mark Cerny presented a very technical session on the PS5’s system architecture, and what we can expect from the upcoming console. The presentation has revealed the PS5’s official specs and has confirmed features like backwards compatibility, Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and SSD size.

The European PlayStation Store has been updated today, with over 20 new PS4 games being added throughout the week. New games this week include Doom Eternal, Resident Evil 3 Racoon City demo and PS VR title The Rabbit Hole.

PS5 System Architecture to be Revealed Tomorrow

Sony has announced that the PS5’s system architecture is to be revealed tomorrow by lead system architect Mark Cerny. The steam will take place tomorrow, 18th March 2020 at 4pm GMT / 5pm CET on the PlayStation Blog.

Konami has announced that eFootball PES 2020 will be receiving a free update at the end of April in the form of UEFA Euro 2020 DLC. Whether the actual Euro 2020 tournament goes ahead remains to be see, but at least gamers will be able to enjoy it virtually.

CoD: Warzone Hits 6 Million Players in 24 Hours

Free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone was released earlier this week, and it appears to have been a big success. Activision have announced that the game has managed to get over 6 million players in the first 24 hours.

Nioh 2 Trophy List

PlayStation exclusive Niho 2 launches on the PS4 tomorrow, and the official trophy list for the game has been revealed. The game has 56 trophies to unlock, split into the coveted Platinum, two Gold, five Silver and the remaining 48 as Bronze.
