Sony has revealed a number of new PS3 and PS Vita titles that will be coming to the Instant Game Collection over the next month for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Titles include EA’s RPG adventure Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD. On the PS Vita, subscribers can look forward to Ubisoft’s Rayman Origins and FuturLab’s Coconut Dodge Revitalised.
Gran Turismo 6 has been announced for the PS3, and will be released Holiday 2013. The news was revealed by legendary GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi himself at the Silverstone event held to celebrate 15 years of the 70-million-selling series. GT6 for PlayStation 3 will see many enhancements, improvements and additions to the game. bringing new levels of authenticity to ‘the Real Driving Simulator’.
Lots of new PS3, PS Vita and PS Mobile games are available on the PlayStation Store in Europe this week, along with new DLC and other content. Velocity Ultra for the PS Vita has been added to the Instant Game Collection too, letting PlayStation Plus subscribers to download the game for free. Free-to-play title DUST 514 is available for the PS3 this week now that the beta has ended.
Following in the steps of Europe, Knytt Underground is coming PlayStation Plus in North America tomorrow. The cross-buy game will be added to the Instant Game Collection in tomorrow’s weekly Store update, allow subscribers to download the game for free on both the PS3 and PS Vita. In addition, PlayStation Plus subscribers can also get discounts on GRID 2 (pre-order) and Metro: Last Light.
Apparently, the PS4 reveal trailer – expected to appear at E3 next month – has been leaked, showing what the console will look like. The video looks pretty professional, however, its likely that the video is fake, since there is no evidence to support the video. SCEA released the list of top selling titles on the PlayStation Store in April last week, revealing that Guacamelee! was the most downloaded title on both the PS3 and PS Vita. Tomb Raider was the second most downloaded title on the PS3, while new comer Defiance debuted on the chart at number 10. On the PS Vita, newly released Soul Sacrifice debuted on the chart in 2nd position.
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV is coming to the PS4 as well as the PS3 later this year, and the developers have released an exclusive video of the game running on the upcoming console. Sony will host a celebration of the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit (UK) on 15th May, 2013, and will be showing “what’s next” for the series. The event will feature Kazunori Yamauchi, who will “provide an update on the future of the Gran Turismo game,” according to the press release. Our understand is that Sony will be announcing Gran Turismo 6 at the event, which is rumoured to be a PS3 game.
