Earlier in the week at the MGS 25th anniversary event, Hideo Kojima and Avi Arad revealed that a Metal Gear Solid movie is in the works, and will be produced by Columbia Pictures. The Metal Gear games have long been acclaimed for their cinematic qualities, and the movie will be true to the franchise, according to Arad.

According to the YouTube description, the short movie cost only $209.42 to make, but features realistic effects equivalent of some Hollywood movies. Part II of the movie is already on the post-production stage and will be released shortly.
New Line Cinema Wants Heavy Rain Movie
As most of you already know or have read, Heavy Rain is essentially a interactive move with more emotion and depth than your typical game. It now seems like the game could be turned into a movie according to some paperwork filed by Quantic Dream and New Line Cinema (see below). Surprisingly enough, the filing was made in 2007 and not a lot of information has been revealed since.

Nathan Drake Heading to Hollywood

Nathan Drake is soon to appear at a cinema near you. Sony Computer Entertainment has signed a deal with Columbia Pictures for a movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and it will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner. Sony has been working with Avi and the folks and Columbia for quite some time and additional details on the film will be released in the near future.
