The UK PlayStation Video Store will be updated on Monday from now on, so here is your update for this week. New titles available to purchase this month include The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 and The Hurt Locker, and new titles available for rental include Inglourious Basterds, Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The first PlayStation Video Store update for the US is now live, adding several recent movies including Jennifer’s Body, 9, District 9 and The Final Destination. The PlayStation Video Store is a great addition to the PS3 and PSP, adding to a number of entertainment services already available on the PlayStation. The Video Store has been available in North America for over a year now and was only recently released in a few countries in Europe. The online service allows you to rent or purchase movies straight from the comfort of your home.

This week on the PlayStation Video Store, you can find Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on the US Store. On the UK Store, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is now available to purchase as well as a number of other titles. A number of new videos are also available to download, including the Avatar Trailer and a Terminator Salvation Featurette.
The US PlayStation Video Store hasn’t been updated this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday but the European Store has been. See the list of new titles for the UK, Spain, Germany and France below. The Dan Brown promotion is still running on the European Store until the end of this month. LONDON – 19th November 2009: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) further expanded its PlayStation® entertainment experience today with the launch of the PlayStation®Network video delivery service for Europe. Now available in France, Germany, Spain and the UK, with other countries to follow in 2010, the service allows film fans to download hundreds of movies, including the latest releases, straight to their PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable).
Later this month, the PlayStation Video store launches in Europe after being available in the US for more than a year. Sony has announced a number of titles that will make the initial launch, including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The service will allow movie fans to download the latest releases straight to their PlayStation 3 and PSP for viewing at home or on.
