The PlayStation Plus Collection was launched alongside the PS5 back in November 2020, giving new owners of the console access to 20 “generation defining” PS4 games. Sony has now revealed that the collection is closing and will no longer be a PlayStation Plus benefit.

PS3 and PS Vita Stores to Remain Open as Sony U-Turns on Decision
Recently, Sony announced that the PlayStation Store on the PS3 and PS Vita would close later this year, meaning you can no longer purchase new digital games on those devices. Sony has now decided to reverse their decision and will continue to operate both Stores. However, the PSP Store will be retired as planned on 2nd July 2021.

The final nail in the coffin for the PSP, PS Vita and PS3 may be nearing, according to a rumour. TheGamer reports that the PS3, PS Vita and PSP PlayStation Stores will be closing down permanently, as soon as July. This means that gamers will no longer able to buy games or DLC for these legacy consoles.

After six years of operation, Guerrilla Games has announced that the multiplayer servers for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 will be shutting down in March 2018. The single player content for both the games will be unaffected, but it does mean any online trophies for the game subsequently become unattainable.
Sony Closing PlayStation Now On All Devices Except PS4 and PC
Sony has today made a rather shocking announcement – it is to close PlayStation Now on all supported devices except the PS4 and PC after “thoughtful consideration”. From 15th August 2017, PlayStation Now will no longer be usable on the PS3, PS Vita and PS TV, and all supported TV models. A selection of TV models will lost support at early as 15th May 2017.
DUST 514 to Close in May 2016
CCP have announced that its free-to-play PS3 shooter, Dust 514, will close at the end of May. The game has been running for the last three years, since it was first launched in May 2013. It also means that the planned v1.3 update won’t be releasing for the game, as originally planned.

However, Sony has announced that PlayStation Home will be closing its doors in March 2015, following suit with Asia.
Sony Closing Liverpool Studio
Sony is to close down its Liverpool Studio, responsible for developing games like WipEout, as part of the company’s restructuring efforts. Sony acquired the developers back in 1993 to join Sony Wordwide Studios, but is looking to relocate relocate staff to other parts of the business.
