Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is now more solid than ever in Japan. Naked Snake’s latest PSP adventure has been given a release date in its country of origin. The latest Famitsu issue has announced the game’s release as set for March 18, 2010. As for the west, Konami has revealed that Peace Walker will be available in the UK on May 28th 2010. Unfortunately, there is no release date for North America yet. The US will be getting the title in May 2010.
Rumor Alert: PSPgo UMD Add-on In the Works

An unidentified source has informed gaming news site CVG of Logitech’s plans to create a UMD Drive add-on for the PSPgo. No price or release information was revealed by the source, but apparently the add-on would “plug into the PSPgo, allowing users to play their UMD games on the portable.” Logitech UK said that they’re “not aware of it, so it may be something the US office is working on.” Neither Logitech’s US office nor Sony have so far said anything about this rumor.
PlayStation Store Update for Dec 3rd 2009

This week on the PSP PlayStation Store, the LittleBigPlanet demo is available to download in Europe. New titles are also on offer this week, including Killzone Liberation and Gangs of London. Three new downloadable games are available from the US Store and two new ones from the European Store. A new Episode of PULSE is also available to download from the US Store. PlayStation Store Update for Dec 3rd 2009

This week on the PlayStation Store, the Bayonetta Demo is now available to download from both the European and US Stores. The European Store has special offers on a number of PSP and PS3 titles and add-on content. Just in time for Christmas, you can pickup a free Santa Costume for Sackboy (EU and US) or download some premium Christmas themes from the US Store. A new episode of PULSE is available to download as well as the December issue of Qore.

Today marks 15 years since the PlayStation was first launched in Japan. Although the west didn’t get the hardware until almost a year later, today is the system’s actual birthday. The PlayStation (and PSOne) was the first console to reach the 100 million sales mark, achieving a total of 102.49 million units on March 31, 2005. Sony ceased production of the PlayStation on March 23, 2006, over 11 years after it was first produced.

MAG Beta Comes to an End This Week

The MAG Beta is coming to an end this week, making it the last chance to play the game until it is released early next year. The beta will end on Saturday 5th of December, at midnight. To bring the beta to an end, Zipper Interactive have organized a challenge for tomorrow evening (Friday, December 4th 2009). All you have to do is log on when the time is right, join a queue, and look for players with the distinguishable Zipper clan moniker to see if you have what it takes to beat Zipper.
Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Launches December 17th 2009

On the December 17th 2009, European PS3 owners will be able to download a special version of Gran Turismo 5, entitled the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial. The Time Trial is also one of the prerequisites to taking part in the 2010 GT Academy. Qualify in the top twenty within your country and you will be invited to a national final event, where you will pit your wits against the best Gran Turismo drivers in the country.
PlayStation Home Updated with New SF4 Costumes

The Street Fighter 4 Game Space in PlayStation Home has been updated with new costumes. A total of seven new costumes have been added. For the men there will be Balrog, M. Bison, Sagat, El Fuerte, Rufus, and Akuma. For the ladies a C.Viper costume will be available. While you are in PlayStation Home, don’t forget to check out the Presentation Podium which was re-opened today.
