Just like the PS4, Sony has started a firmware beta program for the PS5, allowing owners to help test system software updates and try out new features before everyone else. The program is open to open to players over the age of 18 in the U.S., Canada, Japan, U.K., Germany and France.

Rockstar Games will be shutting down the online servers for three of their PS3 and Xbox 360 games towards the end of this year, the company has announced. The three games include Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire and GTA Online, and will start to go offline from September. The single-player / offline modes will be unaffected by the server shutdown.

The PlayStation Store charts for North America and Europe have been revealed, listing the top selling titles in both regions last month. On the PS5, Resident Evil Village was the top selling title in both regions beating Returnal, which came in second place in North America, and third in Europe.
