The top download charts for 2022 has been released, revealing the top selling games on the PS4 and PS5 across North America and Europe on the PlayStation Store across the year. On the PS5, God of War Ragnarök made it into the top three in both regions, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II the top seller in North America, and FIFA 23 the top seller in Europe.

Sony’s latest financial results, for the quarter ending 31st December 2022, reveals that the PS5 had great end to the year. The results reveals that a massive 7.1 million consoles were sold in the quarter, including the holiday period.

The PlayStation Plus Collection was launched alongside the PS5 back in November 2020, giving new owners of the console access to 20 “generation defining” PS4 games. Sony has now revealed that the collection is closing and will no longer be a PlayStation Plus benefit.

The PlayStation Plus Essential line-up for February 2023 has been revealed, featuring three new games for PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium subscribers, as well as new DLC content. The new games will be available to download from Tuesday, 7th February 2023, and includes Mafia: The Definitive Edition for the PS4.

The PlayStation VR 2 headset will be releasing in less than a month, on 22nd February 2023. Sony has confirmed the games you can expect to enjoy on the new device in the first month of launch, which includes 13 new titles.
