Whilst 2015 was the best year yet for PlayStation fans, it looks like 2016 will certainly hold more than a few surprises.
Already we’ve seen the extremely welcome announcement that over 40 PS3 titles would be available through the PS Now cloud gaming service. And with a string of releases that find their inspiration from places as far ranging as volleyball courts, poker halls and distant galaxies, it looks like 2016 will be another fantastic year for PlayStation fans.
Sony and Naughty Dog has announced a Limited Edition Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End PS4 bundle, which comes with a Uncharted branded Grey Blue 1 TB PS4 console, a physical copy of the game and a matching DualShock 4 controller. If you’ve already got a PS4, you can also get the DualShock 4 controller separately.
New games and DLC packs are available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with nine new PS4 games available for purchase, including Gravity Rush Remastered and Not A Hero. You can also find a new PS3 game, and three new PS Vita games.
CCP have announced that its free-to-play PS3 shooter, Dust 514, will close at the end of May. The game has been running for the last three years, since it was first launched in May 2013. It also means that the planned v1.3 update won’t be releasing for the game, as originally planned.

You can also find a handful of new PS3 and PS Vita games. February 2016’s Instant Game Collection is live today too, with six new games available to download for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Sony has revealed the six new games joining the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection in February 2016. The new games will be available from February 2nd, 2016, and include Grid Autosport (PS3), Lemmings Touch (PS Vita) and Nom Nom Galaxy (PS4).
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store, with nine new PS4 games added, and a handful of new PS3 and PS Vita titles. New titles include The Witness (PS4), LEGO Marvel’s Avengers (all platforms) and Klaus (PS4). You can also find a great deal on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (PS4).
Sony has formed a new company that will be come the headquarters for everything PlayStation. Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE) will be based out of San Mateo, California, United States, and “joins the forces of both Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Sony Network Entertainment LLC.”
SCEA has released the PlayStation Store Chart showing not only the top downloaded games in December 2015, but also the top downloaded games across the entire year. In December 2015, Star Wars Battlefront was the top downloaded PS4 game, but overall, Call of Duty: Black Ops III was the most downloaded PS4 game in 2015.
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store, with 11 new PS4 games, one new PS3 game and four new PS Vita game added to the store. New games include Resident Evil 0 (PS3, PS4), Attractio (PS4), Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty (PS Vita) and more.
