A recent leaked image of the content of the PS4 box reveals that Sony was planning to include the PlayStation Camera and Knack with the console, but was presumably removed prior to E3 to reduce the price of the console. The image reveals that the Blu-ray copy of Knack, the PS Camera and a vertical stand for the PS4 would have been included with the console, but would have likely cost an extra $100 to include – bringing the console in-line with the price of the Xbox One.

PS3 Firmware v4.46 Released

Sony have released PS3 System Software v4.46, which replaces the buggy v4.45 and lets those with bricked consoles get up and running again. In addition to fixing firmware v.45, the update also adds the ability to hide trophy notifications – a feature that was also included in firmware 4.45.

Sony has stated a PSOne Classics sale on the PlayStation Store this week, giving gamers a trip down memory lane as we approach the launch of the PS4. Over the next eight weeks, Sony will be taking gamers through the history of PlayStation, with the first two weeks focused on the original PlayStation.
Gran Turismo 6 Demo Coming Next Week

Sony has confirmed that a demo for Gran Turismo 6 will launch next week on the PlayStation Network in North America and Europe. The demo will be available from 9:00 AM BST on Junly 2nd, 2013, and will let gamers try out the Silverstone track along with a number of GT Academy-style events. The demo will also let gamers enrol in Sony’s GT Academy program.
Sony to Focus on PS4 at Gamescom

At this year’s Gamescom convention, running between 21st to 25th August, in Cologne, Germany, Sony will focus on the PS4 and it’s games line-up. The company is planning to show off brand new games for the upcoming console, adding to the games already announced at the PlayStation Meeting 2013 and E3 2013.

The OS has been heavily modified by Sony and re-branded with the name Orbis OS – which also happens to be the PS4’s rumoured codename when it was first in development.
