Sony has announced that it will be releasing a series of behind-the-scenes videos showing the creation of the PlayStation VR, from the earliest prototype right through to the final version, which will be releasing in October. Over the next several weeks, new videos will be made available regularly, covering the tech in the headset, 3D audio and intuitive control inputs to create truly immersive gameplay experiences.
Sony has released a few videos to show the upcoming features in PS4 Firmware v2.0, which releases tomorrow. The first video takes a look at the new Play Share feature that allows you to stream your game to a friend who doesn’t already own it, either to play co-op or to get help on a level you’re having difficulty with. The second video walks you through the other features of the firmware update.
SquareEnix have been released a number of videos for upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, which will be arriving on the PS3 and PS Vita in March 2014. The new videos cover everything from the characters in the RPG, to the sports of Blitzball, and the world of Spira, Aeons and even sequences from the story. The player will take the role of new protagonist Captain Edward Kenway in a entirely new setting during the Golden Age of Pirates in the early 1700s. Kenway commands a mighty ship in the dangerous waters of the West Indies, equipped with multiple pistols and twin wicked cutlasses.
Sony has released the final Evolution of PlayStation video, this time taking a look at Games that has made the brand famous. The video talks about Gran Turismo becoming one of the most famous driving simulators, but also name-drops LittleBigPlanet, Flower, Journey and other PlayStation exclusives.
28 minutes of gameplay footage has been released from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, taken from the playable demo bundled with Zone Of Enders HD in Japan. The game shows a bit more polish compared to the earlier trailers. Check out the gameplay footage in the two part video below.
