The Flower soundtrack, originally scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store this week has been delayed due to “technical difficulties.” The soundtrack was pulled from the European PlayStation Store at the last minute after failing the Quality Assurance tests from Sony, and will now be released at a later date.
Last month there was rumor going around that the PlayStation Store update day for Europe would soon be changing. The rumor has now been confirmed by Mike Kebby on the PlayStation.Blog. The usual Thursday updates will continue until the end of this month, and from May they will be moving to Wednesdays.
This week on the PSP Comic Store the first set of Manga comics hit the store. Hideyuki Kikuchi’s Vampire Hunter D Vol 1 is now available to download. You can also find Zombies Vs Robots with the first issue of a 4 part series: Aventure and Markosia’s Ritual. Finally we see the return of the extremely popular Atomic Robo from Red 5 and more Amazing Spider-Man from Marvel.
The first quarter had a number of great titles including God of War III, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII, Bayonetta and more. However, the next three months also have a number of great titles coming out. If you are a little strapped for cash from last month, you will have to start saving up pretty quickly.
If you have some time on your hands today, check out this incredibly well made fan movie on Modern Warfare. According to the YouTube description, the short movie cost only $209.42 to make, but features realistic effects equivalent of some Hollywood movies. Part II of the movie is already on the post-production stage and will be released shortly.
Remember a time when everyone though that the Blu-ray format would fail? Since Blu-ray won over the High-definition format war (against HD-DVD), the format has been gaining great momentum. The latest aggregated sales figures from Home Media Magazine puts revenues from BD sales in the US for the first quarter of 2010 were $331.31 million, which accounts to an increase of 68.5% compared to the Q1 2009.
The recent PS3 Firmware v3.21 update is at the center of many discussions at the moment, but this time the issues are more serious than the removal of the OtherOS feature. The PlayStation Forum appear to be the centre of much of the discussions, with many users complaining of problems on the PS3 after installing the update.
The very first episode of FirstPlay goes on sale today on the PlayStation Store. FirstPlay is the new weekly interactive show from the team behind Official PlayStation magazine, costing only 99p each or £8.99 for a three-month subscription. You can find the Ballistic Armour set for S.V.E.R., Reinforced Composite Armour for Raven, while for Valor there’s the Reinforced Fibre Armour. Also available for each faction are a Footlocker and Lamp or Light Fixture.
The UK PlayStation Store has been updated a bit later than usual this week due to the Easter holidays. On the store this week, you can find a total of five new titles to buy and five new titles to rent. In addition, the April Foolishness Sale is still on so be sure to check out the available titles, starting from £5.99.
