Irrational Games have released details of the Special Editions of Bioshock Infinite, scheduled to be released in March 2013. Two special editions of the game will be available: the Ultimate Songbird Edition and the Premium Edition, both of which are now available to pre-order.
The PS3’s system software and security features have been blown wide open after publication of the console’s LV0 decryption keys. The LV0 keys allow access to the lowest level of the system, known as “root” access, giving hackers access to every system function, including creating custom firmwares that allow PSN access.
God of War: Ascension will see multiplayer introduced to the series for the very first time, bringing the intense action and brutal combat to solo and team based game modes. Sony has released the “Zeus” trailer, who is one of the four gods your online avatar is able to align with.
Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed III, which examines Desmond’s story so far. This epic trailer shows Desmond as he prepares enter the Animus once again to take on the role of Connor Kenway. In Assassin’s Creed III, Connor is another ancestor of Desmond’s, who seeks to continue his training against the Templars.
The re-designed PlayStation Store has fully launched in the UK, after the initial launch last week ran into teething problems. The re-designed store when live in the UK earlier today, and appears to be working correctly now that the issues have been fully resolved.
Details of the Collector’s Edition of The Walking Dead have been leaked, exclusive to Gamestop. The retail version of the game will be releasing in North America on December 4th 2012, but it now appears that a special Collector’s Edition will also be available. In addition, Telltale Games has revealed that the fifth and final episode in the series will be releasing this November.
This week, the PS3 will be getting a firmware update, updating the system software to version v4.30. The update brings with it the ability to view PS Vita trophies on the console, and relocates the [Trophy Collection] Icon on the XMB to reside under [PlayStation Network]. The new firmware update also removed the Life with PlayStation application.
The new PlayStation Store, expected to be released in North America this week, has been postponed following teething issues with other regions. The October 23rd launch of the new store in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil will be held back until further notice, while SCEA resolve the remaining issues with the store.
The PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta recently opened up to PlayStation Plus subscribers, and will be opening up to the public next week. We had the opportunity to record some direct stream footage of the game in action, showing just how fast paced the action in the game is.
Square-Enix and IO Interactive have released yet another trailer for upcoming shooter Hitman: Absolution, titled “Introducing Disguises”. The new trailer demonstrate how precision murder isn’t all about looking dapper in an expensive suit, but could involve putting on a big yellow chicken outfit, among many others.
