Sega Genesis game ToeJam and Earl, and its side-scrolling sequel on the MegaDrive, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron are slated for re-release as part of Sega’s Vintage Collection on the PS3, according to Silicon Era.

PEGI Game Ratings Now Law in the UK

In the UK, the Pan European Game Information (or PEGI) game rating system has become the legal standard for videogames today. It’s now illegal for a videogame retailer to sell a 12-rated game to anyone below that age, or face prison time or a £5,000 fine.
PlayStation Network Partially Down

The PlayStation Network has been suffering intermittent issues over the weekend, and continuing into today. If you are having problems connecting to the PSN, you may have to just wait it out until access is restored.

Sony Confirmed to Reveal Two New Titles at Gamescom

After Sony revealed its Gamescom line-up, more details about the two unannounced games have surfaced. Sony will be revealing two new titles at the event in Germany, one of which is a game from Japan Studio.
Dead or Alive 5 Box Art and Pre-Order Costume Revealed

Tecmo Koei have revealed the box art for Dead or Alive 5, which releases on the PS3 towards the end of September. In addition, screenshots of the “White Bunny” pre-order costume were revealed too (see below).
Yamauchi Talks GT6 and PS Vita Version

At the China Joy event in Beijing this week, Sony held a Gran Turismo 5 event with series producer Kazunori Yamauchi. At the Q&A session, Yamauchi talked about Gran Turismo 6 and a PS Vita version of Gran Turismo.
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 Trailer

Square-Enix have released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV (or at least the updated version of it). The new trailer shows off the improvements made to the game in version 2.0 of the game, which will be released on the PS3 next year.

A new version of the BBC Sports App Beta is now available and it’s equipped with new features, more coverage and many, many more pixels. Just in time for the Olympics Opening Ceremony later today, the new app now supports HD footage across the live events.
