Sony has released high resolution screens (or mock-ups) of the PS4’s user interface show at the PlayStation Meeting last week. The new interface looks similar to the XMB used in newer Sony televisions and also the updated PlayStation Store, with larger icons and a horizontal layout. The new screenshots also show what the user profile and PlayStation Network will look when viewed on other compatible devices, including mobiles and tablets.

Assassin’s Creed IV Coming In October

Ubisoft has confirmed that a new game is the Assassin’s Creed series will be called Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and will be coming to the PS3 and other consoles in October. The PS3 version will have exclusive content, just like the previous game. Ubisoft have also confirmed that more information and previews will be available on Monday, March 4th at 5PM, once the embargo has been lifted.
Remember Me Release Date and Trailer Revealed

Capcom’s mind bending action game, Remember Me, has been given an official release date and new trailer. The game will be releasing on the PS3 and other platforms in June, with the North American release pegged for June 4th, followed by European release on June 7th 2013. Check out the new trailer below.
New PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC Coming March 2013

New DLC has been announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, featuring two new characters and a brand new stage to enjoy. SCEA Santa Monica Studios have been working hard to bring Isaac Clarke from Electronic Arts’ Dead Space, and Zeus from God of War to the game as two additional playable characters in the game, and a new “Graveyard” level.
God of War HD Free for PlayStation Plus Subscribers

Sony has announced a nice little surprise for PlayStation Plus subscribers. To celebrate the launch of God of War: Ascension next month, Sony have added God of War 1 HD to the Instant Game Collection – but it will only be available for two weeks starting today. The Classic PS2 title will be available to download after today’s weekly PlayStation Store update.
God of War: Ascension Demo Available This Week

The God of War: Ascension single-player demo will be releasing to all PlayStation Network users from today. The demo will be made available in North America as part of today’s PlayStation Store update, and will be releasing in Europe as part of tomorrow’s update. In addition, a new single-player trailer trailer for the game has also been released.
Sony Has Patent to Detect Pirated Games

A new Sony patent has been discovered, dating back to 2011, which covers the detection of pirated games based on its loading times. The patent describes methods that can be used to detect if a game is pirated by measuring it’s average load time and comparing it to a central database. If the load times fall outside of the acceptable range, the game is blocked.
PlayStation 4 Will Have Cross-Game Chat

Sony’s PlayStation 4 press release has confirmed that the new console will include cross-game chat – one of the most requested features on the PS3. ‘Through PS4, users are able to deepen their connections through co-op play or “cross-game chat”,’ says the press release.
inFamous: Second Son (PS4) Continues 7 Years on from Previous Game

A new inFamous title was announced for the PlayStation 4 last week at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting. The sequel, inFamous: Second Son will take place seven years after the events from inFamous 2, and will follow a new protagonist Delsin Rowe. As Cole McGrath story ends, conduits continue to crop up around the world, and Delsin is one of them.
Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Going Free-to-Play

The multiplayer component from Uncharted 3 will be going free-to-play this week, allowing gamers to experience the online component of the game, without purchasing the full game. The information first appeared on the US PlayStation Blog, but was quickly pulled down shortly after, suggesting it’s at least coming this week.
