SCEA has released the PlayStation Store charts for July 2013, revealing the top selling PS3, PSN, PS Vita, and PS Mobile titles and DLC content. On the PS3, Shadow of the Colossus was the top selling game on the PS3, followed by The Last Of Us. On the PS Vita, Mortal Kombat PS Vita was the top selling title.

PS4 Won’t Require PlayStation Plus to Stream Game Videos

Unlike the Xbox One, which locks the console’s Game DVR features behind a Xbox Live Gold subscription, the PS4 won’t require users to have a PlayStation Plus subscription to use the console’s DVR features. The news was confirmed by a tweet from Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida in response to a question from @jonboi204.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for July 2013

Sony has released the Top 10 PSN chart for July 2013 in Europe, showing the most downloaded titles on the PS3, PS Vita and PSP. The Last of Us continues to sell well, and keeps its top position in the chart for the second month running. On the PS Vita, Hotline Miami also keeps its top position on the chart for a second month, while new entries Total Recoil and Machinarium debut on the chart in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
PlayStation Plus Subscribers to get Exclusive Puppeteer Demo

The latest issue of MCV features an advertisement that reveals an exclusive demo of Puppeteer for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Sony mentioned that a demo of the game will be releasing soon, but failed to mention that it would be limited to PlayStation Plus subscribers. The advert doesn’t confirm is the demo is the same Rehearsal Edition previously announced.

Pre-Order Limits for PS4 Now In Force

As mentioned last week, Sony’s pre-order limits for the PS4 are now in force across the UK and Europe, meaning console pre-ordered after August 6th 2013 are no longer guaranteed for launch day. The limit affects retailers mainly in the UK, including Amazon and ShopTo, so if you were smart enough to pre-order your console early, it will arrive for launch day.
Sony Santa Monica: No More DLC for All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony’s Santa Monica studios are done with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and has revealed that the game won’t be getting any more DLC content. On the brighter side, the studio will continue to release patches for the game (expected in Autumn), and release some previously unreleased costume packs later this month.
North American PlayStation Plus Titles for August Revealed

SCEA have revealed the new games coming to PlayStation Plus this month, starting tomorrow when Hitman Absolution joins the Instant Game Collection. Over the month of August, three new PS3 titles and two new PS Vita titles will join the Instant Game Collection, including Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball (PS3) and Machinarium (PS Vita).

Naughty Dog have confirmed that the European version of the game has less gore than the North American version, while dismemberment has been removed entirely.
