Sony has revealed the contents of the next PlayStation Plus update for North America, due for release on February 1st 2011. The first update for February will include an auto download of a demo of Tales from Space: About a Blob, 50% discounts off both versions of Fat Princess, and 20% of Kung-Fu LIVE. Killzone 3 Open Beta Coming To The PSN

Before Killzone 3 is released later next month, you will be able to experience the game in the Open Beta. The beta will be available between the 3rd and the 15th of Feb 2011 from the PlayStation Store. This Beta will offer you exclusive early access to the MP05 ‘Frozen Dam’ multiplayer level from Killzone 3, including all three online multiplayer modes – Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone and Operations.
PlayStation Video Store Update For January 20th 2011

The UK PlayStation Video Store has been updated with new movies to rent and own. The highlight of this week includes Resident Evil Afterlife, which is now available in SD and HD resolutions. If you buy the HD version, you also get an SD version to watch on your PSP.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 Trailer Revealed

Following up on the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII-2 this week, Square Enix have also released the first teaser trailer for the game. Check out the trailer below, but be warned that the trailer contains minor spoilers about the previous title, if you haven’t completed playing the game yet.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Announced

I haven’t even finished playing Final Fantasy XIII yet, and already SQUARE ENIX has announced the sequel. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is scheduled for release next winter and will feature a new story that stems from the previous title as well as a evolved battle system.
FirstPlay Episode 41 Details

Killzone 3 Goes Gold

‘Going gold’ is a much-anticipated landmark in the development of any game – essentially, it means that the discs are ready to be pressed and the Champagne is chilling nicely. The latest game to reach the ‘gold’ milestone is Killzone 3, which means the game is on schedule for release on February 23rd 2011.
VUDU Adds Stereoscopic 3D Movie Streaming

VUDU has been updated to a whole new dimension today thanks to a new patch for the movie streaming service. If you’ve got a 3D-enabled TV hooked up to your PS3, now you can stream in 3D directly from VUDU. If you’ve already downloaded the VUDU app, it will be updated automatically with the new functionality.
