2K Games has revealed that the servers for NBA 2K20 will be shutting down on 31st December 2021, which means players will no longer be able to play ranked or online games, and anyone online functionality will also cease to work. Earlier last month, Sony announced that the online servers to several old PS3 title would be shut down in October 2018. Sony has now decided to delay the shutdown to January 2019, meaning gamers will have a few more months to enjoy titles include Warhawk, Twisted Metal, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, and Sound Shapes.
Sony has updated the PlayStation Store listings for three old PS3 games, indicating that the online functionality will be going offline on this month. The servers for Warhawk will be shutdown first, which will go offline on 15th October 2018, followed by PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Twisted Metal on 25th October 2018.
Despite Sony releasing a list of games to have their online capabilities turned off, it appears that PS3 title Starhawk was missed off the list. The servers for the game were turned off on 30th June 2018, and was announced with a mere notice on the game’s page on the PlayStation Store.
