Sony has released a new major firmware update for the PS4, updating the system software to v10.0. The update includes improvements to the Internet Browser as well as the Remote Play functionality. The PS4 Firmware update was release alongside PS5 Firmware v22.02-06.00.00, which includes the same improvements.

In line with the PS Vita firmware, this update disables some PSN account management functionality on the console. This is the first update for the discontinued console in almost 12 months, with the last update back in June 2021.

Sony has released a new major firmware update for the PS4, updating the system software to v9.50. Similar to the PS5 firmware update also released today, this update improves Party functionality, letting you choose between open and closed parties.

This is a mandatory update, which means you need to install it before you can access the PlayStation Network and play online.

The biggest change to the PS4 system software in the support for PS5 trophies on the Profile Screen and Trophy List. Just over 10 months after the PS5 launch, this update finally adds PS5 trophy support to the console.
