Sony just dropped a new firmware update for the PS4, bringing the system software to version v12.02. But before you get your hopes up—there are no new features or exciting upgrades. Just another routine update!
This update is optional — for now. You can keep gaming without it, but don’t get too comfortable. Sony might eventually make it mandatory for PlayStation Network access and online play.
