EA have today announced Need For Speed: Rivals for current and next-gen platforms, including the PS4. The game, co-developed by Criterion and Ghost Games, will run on Frostbite 3 and will be released this November for current gen platforms, and on next-gen platforms when they become available. The game will be an open world title, with players playing as either a cop or racer.
Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition and Collector’s Edition Revealed

Rockstar has announced to special edition packs for Gran Theft Auto V: The Grand Theft Auto V Collector’s Edition and Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition. Both editions are now available for pre-order world wide, while stocks last. The Grand Theft Auto V Collector’s Edition will retail for $149.99, while the Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition will retail for $79.99. Both editions include special in-game bonuses, and pluysical GTA goodies.
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Coming to PS3 in July 2013

The Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be available to purchase on the PS3 this July in North America, containing every Metal Gear game to grace the PlayStation platforms. The collection includes every title from 1998′s Metal Gear Solid on the PSOne to 2008′s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to 2011′s Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, all for $49.99.
Best of PlayStation Network, Vol. 1 Coming In June

Sony is rolling out the first in a series of “Best of PlayStation Network” collections in June in North America, featuring four PlayStation Network exclusives. The Best of PlayStation Network, Vol. 1 packs four diverse PSN games on to one Blu-ray disc to give gamers a take of what the PlayStation Store has to offer. Volume 1 will be on store shelves from June 25th 2013 for $39.99, saving gamers nearly $15 off the PlayStation Store price.
EU PlayStation Store Update for May 22nd 2013

Lots of new PS3 games are available on the European PlayStation Store this week, movie tie-in Fast & Furious: Showdown. New DLC content is also available for a number of games, including Injustice Gods Among Us and Metro: Last Light. On the PS Vita side, Men’s Room Mayhem is now available to download, with PlayStation Plus subscribers getting 50% off discount. New DLC for the PS Vita is available too.
How Sony is Getting it Right with the PS4

Following on from the Xbox One announcement this week, its clear that Sony is putting the consumers and developers first, while Microsoft is more concerned about themselves and publishers. As a result of the Xbox One announcement, Sony’s share prices increased by over 9%, showing that investors are putting they money on the PS4 over Microsoft’s new console. The reason? There’s actually a few of them.
US PlayStation Store Update for May 21st 2013

A massive update to the PlayStation Store this week, with lots of new games now available for download, including Fast & Furious: Showdown on the PS3, and Men’s Room Mayhem on the PS Vita. New PlayStation Plus content is available too, including two new additions to the Instant Game Collection. You can also find the usual content, including new DLC, avatars, themes and more.
Call of Duty: Ghosts “Reveal” Trailer

In more news streaming from the Xbox One event yesterday, Infinity Wards unveiled the “Reveal” trailer for their upcoming FPS title, Call of Duty: Ghosts. The game’s events place after a mysterious apocalyptic event, with America’s only hope in the face of a new superpower being a group of soldiers known as the Ghosts. The game is heading to pretty much every home console, including the PS3 and PS4, and will be releasing in November 2013.
EA Announced Battlefield 4 for PlayStation 4

DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc, has announced that the highly-anticipated action blockbuster Battlefield 4 will be available this holiday for early-adopters of the next-generation hardware systems: Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4. The game was previously announced for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, but was confirmed for next-gen consoles too at the Xbox One event yesterday.
Sony Stock Price Jumps Up 9% Following Xbox One Reveal

Following the reveal of the Xbox One next-gen console today, Sony’s stock price has jumped over 9%, while Microsoft’s has dropped around 0.6%. Probably not the response Microsoft was hoping for, but the change in price suggests investors are more confident about Sony’s next-gen console, even though the console has yet to be revealed. The Xbox One is a powerful machine, with a similar specification to the PlayStation 4.
