The US PlayStation Store has received a moderately small update this week, with just a handful of new games and DLC content. Zen Pinball 2 is now available to download for the PS4 and Sonic All-stars Racing Transformed has been added to the Instant Game Collection. You can also find new DLC for games including GTA V (PS3), The Playroom (PS4) and The Walking Dead Season Two.
Little has been revealed about The Last Guardian since it was first announced back at E3 is 2009, though we know the game has faced delay after delay. There have been rumours that the game may never be released, but a new listing on the European PlayStation Store has restored faith, at least for the time being. The product details on the game are vague, revealing neither the platform or release date for the game.
FIFA 14 has managed to beat Call of Duty: Ghosts to claim the Christmas Number One title in this week’s UK Games Chart – the first time since Christmas 2008. The rest of the Top 10 titles remain as we’ve seen them for the past several weeks, with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and GTA V all in the top five. PS4 title Killzone: Shadow Fall is the top selling platform exclusive in ninth place.
Guerrilla Games has released patch v1.07 for Killzone: Shadow Fall with a number of minor tweaks and improvements to the game, including the inclusion of Team based voice chat and other gameplay improvements. The Radar has also been improved to show larger objective icons and party members in blue, while three settings for colour blind players has also been added.
Both the PS4 and Xbox One require to install games on the consoles, but you’ll be surprised just how vast the difference in install times are between the two consoles. A video from Kotaku compares the PS4 and Xbox One in installing Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, of which the results are astonishing. The PS4 takes just 42 seconds to install, while the Xbox takes almost 6 minutes with no updated, and a massive 10 minutes with downloading patches.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to try out Killzone: Shadow Fall‘s multiplayer component for free over the weekend of 28th to 31st December 2013, without having to purchase the full game. It’s effectively a multiplayer trial, but gives you a good idea of what the game is like, and maybe even persuade you to but the full version.
Czech-based indie developer, Warhorse Sutdios, has announced a open-world RPG for PC and next-gen consoles, including the PS4, called Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Set during the Middle Ages, players will explore a vast open world, brought to life by CryENGINE 3 and a talented team who has worked on hits such as Mafia, Crysis, and Operation Flashpoint.

The PS4 is receiving a steady stream of new games, with at least three new titles available on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, including Backgammon Blitz, Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball Arcade. Backgammon Blitz will be releasing on both the PS4 and PS Vita tomorrow, for just £4.99/€6.19. Zen Pinball 2 is a port of the PS3 / PS Vita versions, but will allow you to import your existing DLC to the new version for no charge (compatible tables only).
