Lots of new content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with three new PS4 games, three new PS3 games and five new PS Vita games added. New games include Octodad: Dadliest Catch (PS4), Cel Damage HD (3-way cross buy), and Starlight Inception (PS Vita).
GT Academy 2014 Event Now Live in GT6

GT Academy returns once again this year, with the in-game event now available to play until June 16th 2014. The qualifying event is accessible via a special Gran Turismo 6 event. The initial GT6 rounds are designed to hone your racing skills and there will be a thrilling final challenge at the end in which you’ll be able to compare yourself against some of the best GT gamers in the world.
Final Fantasy XIV Re-Enters UK Games Chart, inFamous Drops Down

In the UK Games Chart this week, FIFA World Cup has debuted in 2nd position, but Titalfall continues to top the chart for another week. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has re-entered the top 20 too, thanks to the PS4 release last week. PS4 exclusive inFamous: Second Son has dropped a further few places down the chart, finishing in 15th place.
inFamous: Second Son Patch v1.03 Now Available

inFamous: Second Son has received a major patch, adding a number of new features and tweaks to the game, including addressing some gamer feedback. The patch includes a number of fixes for rare crashes in the game, allows you to disable the HUD, and a new Photo mode.
PS4 Firmware v1.70 Details Revealed

Sony has revealed new details about the PS4’s next major firmware update, version v1.70. The firmware will be releasing soon and will add some significant new features, including SHAREfactory – the new rich video editor application; and the ability to transfer your recorded gameplay videos to a USB device.
PS4 Sales Reach 7 Million Units Worldwide

The PS4 is continuing to sell well across the world, with the latest figures from Sony revealing that 7 million units have been sold globally as of April 6th 2014. In terms of software, more than 20.5 million PS4 games have some at retail and on the PlayStation Store as of April 13th 2014.

Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition Gets a Blu-ray Release

Minecraft has been the PlayStation Store’s most popular downloadble title on the PS3 for the past few months, with over 1.5 million downloads so far. Following the game’s massive success, it will now be getting a Blu-ray version in PAL regions from May 14th 2014.
PSN Network Maintenance on 21st April 2014

Just when you thought you can have a nice long weekend playing games, Sony decides to schedule some PlayStation Network maintenance right Easter Monday. A tweet (which has since been removed) states that the PSN will be down for maintenance for 12 hours starting on Monday afternoon.
Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Launch Issues

You would think that after the two PS4 betas and the launch issues experienced with the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix and Sony would take extra precautions that the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV would be successful. However, once again the game is experiencing issues, with many gamers unable to play the game.
