These days, most games are using up the PlayStation 3 hard disk space by installing various amounts of game data. The hard drive space requirements for Red Dead Redemption has been revealed thanks to a image of the pack shot. The game uses up just 600MB of space so there is no need to worry about lengthy installs when you get your copy of the game.

Another Modern Warfare 2 map pack is heading to consoles according to an interview with Robert Bowling. The Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package will add two more Call of Duty 4 maps, Vacant and Strike, as well as 3 new maps – Carnival, Trailer Park, and Fuel. However, the DLC is another timed exclusive for the Xbox 360.
Sales of the PlayStation 3 edges closer to the Xbox 360. A spokesperson has confirmed to IGN that Sony sold has sold 35.7 million units worldwide as of March 2010. The 2009 fiscal results from Sony also revealed that 13 million PS3 consoles were sold for the year. In comparison, the Xbox 360 has sold 40.2 million units world wide narrowing the gap to just 4.5 million units.
ModNation Racers has not been released to the public yet, but the game has already received it’s first patch. The patch updates the game to version v1.01 and is 28MB in size. Unfortunately, the changelog for the patch has not been revealed yet so we are unsure of what has changed in the game.
Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition is now available to purchase and comes with four challenge maps that were previously released as paid DLC (check the list below). In addition, the game also comes with two pairs of 3D glasses that allow you to play the game in 3D on any television.
Ubisoft announced the next iteration in the Assassni’s Creed series: Brotherhood last week. The first trailer of the game has also been released, and you can find it below. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood follows Ezio in his struggle against the Templar order. The series also gets multiplayer gameplay for the first time.
EyePet was launched in Europe last yer as a PlayStation Eye title, but with PlayStation Move on the way, the title will be revamped to use the motion controller for the North American release. EyePet’s creative director, Nicolas Doucet, talks about the evolution of the title and how it came to be, and with the introduction of the Move, how EyePet is more accurate and precise – see the video below.
LittleBigPlanet has been dominating the news this week, with the announcement of LittleBigPlanet 2 and now with the a brand new Game Space and Personal Space in PlayStation Home. Two new locations featuring mini-games and a easy place for you to launch LittleBigPlanet multiplayer sessions from. The LittleBigPlanet PlayGround Game Space features the King’s Snap Happy Photo Challenge, a Creator mini-game to create wallpapers with your friends and the LittleBigDerby mini-game.
