Now that the PlayStation Store is online, details about the European Welcome Back package has been revealed. Existing PlayStation Plus members will get an extra 70 days of membership to compensate for the downtime, while regular PSN users will be able to use PlayStation Plus for free for 30 days.

PlayStation Store Is Available Now
The PlayStation Store is now online and available in North America and Europe. Check out the store now for the first Store update since the PSN went down back in April. Sony is also working on the Welcome Back package, which is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download very soon.
Full PSN Restoration Begins Today
Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will fully restore all PlayStation Network services today in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Sony’s Press Conference at E3 is always a much-watch for any PlayStation Fan, and this year Sony has decided to stream the entire thing live on the PlayStation.Blog. E3 2011 takes place on June 6th 2011 until June 9th, with a majority of the conferences happening on Day, including Sony’s.

Rumor Alert: NGP Will Be Called PlayStation Vita
Recent rumors suggest that NGP won’t be the final name of Sony’s new portable console. A story by Games Pundit, claims that Sony’s NGP will actually be called ‘PS Vita’ – Vita is Latin/Italian for ‘life’. Naturally, Sony haven’t confirmed the news (lets wait until E3 for official confirmation), so for now, this is filed under the rumor category.
New Official Wireless Stereo Headset Coming for PS3
Another new accessory is joining the PlayStation 3 – the Wireless Stereo Headset. Featuring 7.1 virtual surround sound, the Wireless Stereo Headset lets you hear all the minor in-game audio clues clearly, whether you are in a firefight in a first-person shooter game or racing for the checkered flag. The official PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset will be available for $99.99 (MSRP) at retailers nationwide this September.
Resistance Dual Pack Coming July
If you missed the first to Resistance titles, you will soon be able to get both in an upcoming Dual Pack. In July, both the first two previous titles will be available to purchase together in one convenient package, ahead of the release of Resistance 3 on September 6th 2011.
