The sequel to PSN title Shank has been announced. Shank 2 will better graphics and more interactive environments, including collapsing ceilings, crumbling floors, fiery environments, barrels and other large objects that you can pick up and hurl, and an all new co-op mode.
The controls are also being updated in the new title. In Shank 2, players not only get to carry their own weapons with new combos, grapples, grenades, and more, but we also get to use the enemies’ weapons… while the enemies are still holding them.
There has also been important improvement is in responsiveness. The original combat implementation has been rewritten from the ground up. One improvement is the 360 degree shooting — no longer is Shank locked to specific angles in firing his guns.
New to Shank 2 is the all-new co-op Survival Mode. In this new mode, players fend off wave after harder wave of enemies, bombers, and bosses together with a friend.
Over the next few months expect more details on the upcoming game, including the different co-op maps, strategies in lasting longer, the different characters that you can use, and the in-game purchases that help you survive. And yes, this mode is online-enabled.
