This week on the PlayStation Store, a host of new add-on content is available to download. FIFA 2010 Ultimate Team is available to download as well as new DLC for Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet. The third episode of the Blue Toad Murder Files is also available to download for free, but you need to own the first two episodes. Also, the Darksiders demo and God of War III demos is finally available to download too.
In case you missed it, the God of War III demo is available to download from the PlayStation Store. The demo is definitely worth a play (if not two) and we certainly can’t wait to get our hands on the full game next month. And for those of you who haven’t yet seen it, we have the latest trailer for you below, where you’ll be able to see Kratos inflicting total chaos and destruction.
The Tester premiered on the PlayStation Network last week, and this week the second episode is now available to download. The battle heats up this week for the aspiring SCEA game testers as the competition gets more physical and they face legendary game designer David Jaffe, who joins the panel to evaluate the candidates in action. MAG has received a massive patch this morning, updating the game to v1.03. The patch weighs in between 41MB and 49MB depending on your region and fixes a lot of issues and exploits in the game – almost 30 issues have been fixed in total. Developers Zipper Interactive are confident that the changes make the game “even better than it already was.”
God of War III has a total of 36 trophies to collect, including the coveted Platinum trophy. The game has 18 hidden trophies of which most are story-related – 10 of the secret trophies are bronze, six are silver and one is the platinum trophy. The visible list of trophies in the game can be found below, of which 10 are bronze, 4 silver and four gold.
Today, the Mall in PlayStation Home will be updated with lots of new content. In addition, lots of existing items will go on sale in a the brand new Exclusives store. Uncharted fans can pick up costumes for Nathan Drake, Sully, Chloe Frazier, Elena Fisher, and Tetram in addition to treasure for your personal space.
Heavy Rain is officially out in North America and is rolling out across Europe throughout the week, but not all is well with the highly anticipated title. Up on booting the game for the first time players are prompted to download a 230MB patch which appears to be causing issues for some. The purpose of the patch is currently unknown as no official changelog was released.
Not only does God of War III have no hard drive installation, a tweet from Christer Ericson, the Director of Technology at Sony Santa Monica Studio, also states that the game has “seamless loading” and over 10 hours of “play uninterrupted by load screens.” This is an amazing feat considering that all the data will be loaded from the disc, which will contain over 35GB of game data.
The latest Borderlands DLC, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, hits the PlayStation Store tomorrow and along with it a new patch will also be released on all platforms. The patch fixes a number of issues in the game and also re-balances some of the game elements. The changelog of the update can be found below.
Now that Heavy Rain is out, we though we should share the trophy list with everyone. But be warned, the list contains major game spoilers as each trophy is related to the story in some way.
