Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS5, bringing the system software to v25.04-11.40.00. This is a minor update that improves the “messages and usability on some screens,” according to the release notes.
The previous update, v25.03-11.20.00, re-introduced the PlayStation 30th Anniversary designs that were originally released in December 2024. The feature lets you select a design inspired by your favorite PlayStation console generation and apply it to your home screen and other areas.
