Starhawk is finally entering the Public Beta phase today. If you haven’t already done so, you can download the Starhawk Multipler Beta from the PlayStation Store today. Over the next coming weeks, the beta will be getting lots of updates including a new map, new vehicles, new weapons, 32 player max matches and more.
Starting today, anyone who pre-orders Starhawk at GameStop will automatically upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game. This version comes with over $20 worth of bonus content, including two DLC packs that contain new maps and multiplayer skins, plus sweet extras like the soundtrack and a PSN download of original Warhawk from PSone.
You may be happy to learn that Starhawk will be hitting store shelves May 8th. In addition, the Public Beta opens today so you can see what the game has to offer before the game’s release. If you were in the Private Beta you know what to expect, plus some key things listed below. For those of you new to Starhawk and the Public Beta, check out the quick primer video below.
If you are one of the select PSN gamers invited to take part in the Starhawk Private Beta, you better make the most of it over the holiday break. As of Tuesday, January 3rd 2012, the lights will go down on the Starhawk Private Beta until the Public Beta is announced.
After many, many months of hard work, the Starhawk Private Beta will finally be going live on on the PlayStation Network from tomorrow, November 22nd. A selected a number of loyal Warhawk players who have opted-in to receive PlayStation emails will receive Private Beta keys in the upcoming weeks.
Public Beta codes for Starhawk will be included in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception when the game is available next month. However, the Open Beta won’t start until Early 2012, but in the meantime, a closed beta is planned, starting in November. Warhawk players will be receiving closed beta invitations via email in waves to access the Starhawk private beta.
Harvard Bonin, Sony Santa Monica Studios’ Senior Producer on Starhawk, has been talking to the US PlayStation Blog and has suggested that Warhawk fans will get the first taste of the Starhawk Beta. Its still unclear when the beta is scheduled for but no doubt that players will be lining up to give the game a go.
Up until now you’ve seen a small taste of gameplay, a look at the Build & Battle system, and some snippets of multiplayer action from Stawhawk. The E3 2011 trailer below introduces the Starhawk universe, including the main character Emmett Graves.

Starhawk’s multiplayer to be just as much fun as Warhawk, but now with our new Build & Battle toy box, you shooter fans will have something you haven’t truly experienced before – the ability to change the battlefield on the fly.
