Sony has teamed up with Square Enix to offer gamers a massive discount on two top PlayStation games, saving you 50% on each title. Thief (PS3, PS4) and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4) have both been discounted by 50% for this weekend only – grab them before it’s too late.
Lara Croft couldn’t keep FIFA 14 off the top spot for very long, as the football game has returned to the top of the UK Games chart this week. In fact, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has dropped to 4th place. PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall has gained a place, surprisingly, finishing in 9th position (up from 10th).
FIFA 14 has finally be knocked off the top spot in the UK Games Chart after four weeks, thanks to the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PS4 and Xbox One. According to EuroGamer, the PS4 version accounted for 69% of all sales. PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall has dropped a further three places to finish in 10th position.
Crystal Dynamics has revealed that Tomb Raider will be getting the next-gen treatment, and will coming to the PS4 in the New Year in the form of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. The game has been pulled apart and rebuilt with enhanced visual fidelity, realism, and a new immersive richness to the world. The game will be in native 1080p resolution, and will feature more sophisticated physics modeling thanks to the powerful hardware of the PS4.
A glitch in Tomb Raider has been discovered that makes Lara Croft’s tank top look see-through. The glitch was discovered by Recostar from S3DGamerZone while playing the game in 3D on the PC. Crystal Dynamics have released an eleven minute walkthrough of a section of the Tomb Raider reboot, scheduled for release in March 2013. This section is dubbed “Monastery Escape” and features Lara’s attempted escape from a monastery.
Recently, multiplayer mode for the upcoming Tomb Raider game was officially confirmed, and now more details about exactly what it entails have been revealed. Taken from the February 2013 issue of the Official Xbox Magazine from an interview with Crystal Dynamics, the article reveals lots of information about the game mode.
Eidos have confirmed that their upcoming Tomb Raider reboot will contain a previously unannounced multiplayer portion. The multiplayer mode was originally leaked by UK games retailer GAME, who listed multiplayer mode on it’s website, ahead of an official announcement.
Square Enix has revealed the official box art for upcoming reboot of the legendary Tomb Raider game. The game is a brand new take on the original game of the same name, featuring a great and proper origin story according to developers Crystal Dynamics. The game is scheduled for release on March 5th 2013.
