We’ve recorded a new video showing inFamous 2 running on the European beta of PlayStation Now. We follow the same process as our Uncharted 3 video, renting the game for a period of 30-days and playing the first few minutes of the game. This time we’ve included over 12 minutes of footage, with a mix of gameplay and cutscenes.
From tomorrow, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to grab Stranger’s Wrath HD, inFamous 2, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, LittleBigPlanet 2, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Renegade Ops, and a number of other games, all for free. SCEA announced a similar selection of games for North America at last night’s E3 Press Conference.
Sony have announced that PlayStation Plus members will be getting new free titles starting tomorrow (in North America at least). The new titles include inFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Saints Row 2 – a total of 12 new titles will be available to download for free.
The inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood DLC pack already supports the PlayStation Move. Soon, you will also be able to enjoy inFamous 2 with Move as well, via a free update. Since it’s Halloween, check out Cole’s horror-themed adventure in inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood in the video below.
The third update for inFamous 2 UGC is now available to download. The update makes the bosses placable characters in the UGC mode, allowing them to be allies, fight each other or protect Cole. The second change in this update is Mission Linking, allowing creators to create a series of missions easily.
inFamous 2: Festival of Blood will be a brand new standalone single player DLC for download via PSN. Sucker Punch Productions had an panel at PAX Prime last weekend about creating the 2D cutscenes for the upcoming DLC. Those lucky enough to attend got a sneak preview, which we have included for your viewing pleasure below.

At the end of inFamous, Cole MacGrath was given a vision that the Beast would arrive into the world and that he alone could stop it. The safety of our species was put on his shoulders.
Now that the PlayStation Network is back up, we finally got a change to play the inFamous 2 UGC Beta that was released last month to selected PlayStation Plus subscribers. The European PlayStation.Blog has revealed the release date for inFamous 2, along with details of the Hero Edition. The game will be released in the UK, Germany and Ireland will be getting it on June 10th, whereas the rest of EU will be getting it on June 8th.
The PlayStation Network downtime has caused a lot of headaches to PS3 gamers, especially those who were eagerly to take part in the inFamous 2 beta. We’ve into day 7 of the downtime so inFamous 2 developer Sucker Punch had decided to stop handing out beta codes as they would be useless to the gamers who do receive them.
