SCEE PSPgo Rewards Experiencing Issues

Games who have received their PSPgo Rewards voucher have been experiencing issues when downloading their free PSP games. The voucher entitles those upgrading from an older PSP to download three free PSP titles from a list of games on offer. However, downloading the games to your PS3 and then transferring them to your PSP is causing licensing issues.

The Collector’s Edition will come in a special foldout digipack containing a 3D lenticular cover, an Artwork Book, and a PSN Voucher to download a exclusive level. A patch for Crash Command will be available soon. The patch fixes a couple of things introduced into the game since the last build and adds in some Rumble support. Apart from several bug fixes, nothing new has been added to the game expect for Rumble Support, which to be honest, should have already been included in the game.

Sony America chief Jack Tretton has expressed his delight over the PlayStation 3’s recent success at retail following the introduction of the price cut and revamped Slim model. “Skyrocketing sales, couldn’t be happier with the numbers that we’re seeing, and I think proof that there was tremendous consumer demand, they were just waiting for the price-point to come down,” Tretton told Forbes.

Sackboy invades the PSP in North America when the game is released on November 17th 2009. The official release date was announced by MediaMolecule, however, no date for Europe was announced. Europeans can expect the game some time this year but it may be weeks after the North American release. US Cinemas Will Play Video Games via Sony’s PS3-4K Digital Projector

Four US cinemas, including one in San Francisco and another in Washington, will let give gamers a change to play upcoming video game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on movie screens with the help of a PS3 and Sony’s 4K digital projector. As Mike Fidler, Senior VP of Sony Electronics’ digital cinema group stated although the installation is “the first time we’re doing it in a theatre,” the company believes PS3-fitted cinemas will become “a standard element in the movie-going experience”.

TGS 09 Footage of PS3 Stereoscopic 3D Gameplay

Recent footage has surfaced showcasing stereoscopic 3D gameplay for the PS3 at TGS 2009. For those not in the know, stereoscopic 3D vision is any technique which can record three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image by presenting a slightly different image in each eye. PSPgo Hacked Already

While Sony went to great lengths towards preventing a repeat of the Pandora battery hack on PSPgo, they evidently forgot to patch up some existing security vulnerabilities on the software side. Mere days after the launch of the new hardware, homebrew developer FreePlay has managed to run unsigned code on it.
