The PlayStation Network has been experiencing some issues recently, including problems in adding money to the PlayStation Wallet, using PSN Cards and purchasing / downloading content. You can find a summary of all the issues below, provided by Sony. Sony is aware of the issues and is working to resolve them as quickly as possible.
Last month we revealed that Final Fantasy IX would be heading to the PlayStation Network to join the previous two titles and Final Fantasy Tactics as a PSOne classic. According to Square Enix’s twitter post, the digital re-release of the game is complete and currently undergoing testing – but no launch date has been revealed.
This week is a good week for Spider-Man fans. The Amazing Spider-Man (2003) series continues, and there is more Star Trek and Transformers comics for you too, with a new series being introduced to the store: Star Trek: Captain’s Log. You can also pick-up issue #1 of Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers, if you want to see what the Autobots special ops crew is up to.
Konami has announced the 2011 edition of Pro Evolution Soccer. Set for release later this year, the game promises to “reinvigorate the series with the most advanced set of improved gameplay additions, control options and catch up with the evolution of the real-life soccer.” See below for details on all the new features, but the biggest change is the ability to play the Master League online.
This week on the European PlayStation Store, there are three new downloadable games available including Kick-Ass. You can also find two new playable demos, a new Minis title and lots of game add-on content, including the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package. The PSP will be getting a new God of War title, and is currently being developed by the same studio who developed the original PSP title: Ready At Dawn Studios. Graphically the guys are pushing the PSP to the limits once again with state-of-the-art visual technologies, higher quality environments and greater depth of scale – just check out the below screens.
The first downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 – The Stimulus Package – is now available to download from the PlayStation Store. The pack adds five new multiplayer maps to the title, two of which are from Call of Duty 4. The Stimulus Package can be downloaded from the store for a fairly high price of $14.99.
The US PSP store has been updated today with several new downloadable games, including Fat Princess: Fistful Of Cake (after a short delay) and Iron Man 2. Four new PSP Minis titles are also available to download and new DLC for What Did I Do To Deserve This My Lord! 2. Check out the list of new content below.
The first episode of FirstPlay for May hits the PlayStation Store later today (yes, on a Wednesday). Episode 5 features a review of God Of War Collection, the HD refit of God Of War I and II which hit the shops last week, an in-depth look at upcoming racer ModNation Racers, and a preview of motorbike racer SBK X.
