Select players from CCP’s MMO EVE Online will gain entry into the DUST 514 beta this week, as well as all those who attended the EVE Fanfest convention in Iceland this past March.
Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Far Cry 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The beta test will take place this summer and will feature 16-player matches over multiple maps and game modes. Gamers in North America will be able to get access by purchasing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier from Gamestop.
Telltale Games have announced that The Walking Dead series has reached the one million sales mark, just two weeks into the games release, making it the developer’s fastest ever selling title. The first episode – ‘A New Day’ – took the top spot on the Playstation Network in its first week on the market.
Batman: Arkham City is getting some new DLC on May 29th 2012, titled Harley Quinn’s Revenge. Both Batman and the boy wonder Robin are set to take the stage in the new DLC pack, which will also be included in the Game of the Year Edition, which goes to retail on the same day in North America, but won’t be available in Europe until September 7th 2012.
Its looks like a Software Engineering at SCEA has accidentally let slip that he has worked on maintaining a “voice chat library” for the PlayStation 4. Frederick Umminger listed the role on his LinkedIn profile, but was later corrected to reference the PlayStation 3.

Sony has accidentally revealed a second batch of DLC for Mass Effect 3′s “Special Forces” online co-op on the PlayStation website. The page has since been removed, though not before Kotaku managed to grab the scoop. The new DLC pack will be called “Rebellion” and will include two new maps.
On the EU PlayStation Store, gamers can now pre-order games before the actual release date and begin to download automatically on the day of release (providing the auto-downloading feature has been enabled). This is a pretty handy feature if you aren’t around during the day to download the game yourself – the game would be downloaded and installed automatically by the time you get home.
According to Chart-Track data, the PS Vita in the UK is tracking at just under a third of what the PSP achieved after the first ten weeks. The PS Vita has sold just 100,000 units according to the website, although the numbers have not been confirmed by Sony.
