A new report from IDC, which forecasts the computer games industry for 2012-2016 and published last month, indicated that the PS3 has shifted more units than the Xbox 360 as of December 2012. The report highlights that Sony has shipped 77 million consoles to date, compared to 76 million Xbox 360 consoles.
EU PlayStation Store Update for January 9th 2013

New content is now available on the PlayStation Store this week, including new content for PlayStation Plus subscribers, a number of new PS3 and PS Mobile games. There is also plenty of new DLC available for both the PS3 and PS Vita.

New content is available on the PlayStation Store this week, including new PS3 and PSN titles. Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is available on the PS Vita and there is whole host of new DLC content to enjoy. New avatars, videos and themes are available from the store too.
Top PSN Sellers for December 2012 in North America

Sony has released the top 10 chart for the PlayStation Store in North America, revealing a number of re-entries to the chart, namely Journey taking the top spot once again. On the PS Vita, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita took the top stot, beating new comer Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD.
New Trailer for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Released

Sony has released a new trailer for upcoming PS3 and PS Vita title Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. The new trailer shows off new gameplay, specifically Sly and the team pulling off a heist on the “Turning Japanese” level in the game. The game will be releasing in February 5th 2013 in North America, and on March 27th 2013 in Europe.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for December 2012

Sony has released December’s PSN chart for PAL regions, showing a number of new titles entering the chart and also a few re-entries thanks to the festive sale on the Store. The top selling PS3 title was Far Cry 3 followed by Hitman Absolution. On the PS Vita, the top title was Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD.
Europe’s PlayStation Store January Sale Starts Today

If you are looking to save a few quid after the festive season, you’ll be happy to know that Sony are having a games sale across Europe starting later today. Between 9th January and 30th January you’ll be able to get discounts on many PS3 titles and DLC, including Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Mafia 2 and Borderlands.
Retro City Rampage Coming to Europe Next Week

Retro City Rampage is finally releasing in Europe and other territories next week after a very long wait. Like its US counterpart, the game will be cross-buy and cross-save compatible, giving gamers the PS Vita version for free when they purchase the PS3 version (or vice versa).
Ni No Kuni Delayed in PAL Territories

Originally scheduled for release on January 25th 2013, Ni No Kuni has been delayed in PAL Territories due to “logistic delays”. However, the game has only been delayed by a week and will be releasing on February 1st 2013 instead, so the delay isn’t too bad.
The Walking Dead Sells Over 8.5 Million Episodes

Telltale Games have had huge success with The Walking Dead series. The five-episode series based on the comic books of the same name has sold over 8.5 million episodes across multiple platforms, including the PS3, Xbox and iOS, since launch, generating over $40 million in revenue for the games company.
