Following reports of the PlayStation Store closing on legacy consoles, Sony has today confirmed the news. The PlayStation Store on the PS3 will close as of 2nd July 2021, which means gamers will no longer be able to purchase digital games on the console. The remaining purchase functionality for the PSP will also close on this date.
