While the US has received three new titles in the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, Europeans will only be receiving one new title tomorrow. SCEE has confirmed that PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Deus Ex: Human Revolution as part of their subscription.
Sony has revealed that two new combatants for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale will be unveiled at Comic-Con International 2012 on Sunday, July 15th 2012. SuperBot Entertainment, the developers behind the game, will be holding a panel at the event where they will announced the two new characters, followed by a Q&A session.
Last month Sony gave all PlayStation Plus members an Instant Game Collection that included 12 full PS3 and PSN games. This month, three of those games will be replaced with new titles, including Gotham City Impostors and Renegade Ops. The three new games will be available to download for free if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
Ubisoft have announced a new Limited Edition for Assassin’s Creed III for the PS3. The new edition will be released on October 30th 2012, and will be exclusive to North America and Latin America. The edition is available to pre-order today from selected retailers including GameStop and Amazon.com.
Ubisoft has today revealed a brand new trailer for Assassin’s Creed III. The new trailer is the second glimpse of the game since the trailer shows off at E3 earlier last month, and was released for July 4th celebrations in America. The game is scheduled for release in October.
In a press release today, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that it will be acquiring Gaikai Inc., the world’s leading interactive cloud-based gaming company, for approximately US $380 million. With the acquisitions, “SCE will deliver a world-class cloud-streaming service that allows users to instantly enjoy a broad array of content ranging from immersive core games with rich graphics to casual content anytime, anywhere.”

Announced at the Anime Expo, Crunchyroll is bringing its anime streaming application to the PlayStation 3. Later in the year, an PS Vita app will also be available. The app will launch in North America at first, with other countries possibly to follow.
A dedicated LittleBigPlanet and The Last of Us fan has recreated the original “The Truck Ambush” trailer for The Last of Us. “I take the LittleBigPlanet 2 engine, once again, and remake the jaw-dropping and ground-breaking experience Naughty Dog is crafting for us called ‘The Last of Us’,” said YouTuber TheClassicEvil.
PS3 Firmware 4.20 was released a few days ago, and it looks like a few other changes made it into the system software that weren’t mentioned in the official changelog. A couple of changes were picked up by PS3UltraSlim that might back up rumours of a super slim PS3.
