Tomorrow, August 30th, PlayStation Home opens its doors to its first RPG, Mercia: Fractured Realms, which will be free to play. Players can choose between three character classes, and customise their armour, weapons, and spells to suit their style.
Next month, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting 1GB of online cloud storage, new games in the Instant Game Collection, and discounts on titles too. Borderlands will be added to the Instant Games Collection on September 4th 2012, with 50% off all DLC for the title.
New PS3 and PSN games have been added to the PlayStation Store this week in North America. You can also find new DLC content for games, including Max Payne 3 and Mass Effect 3. New avatars, wallpapers, themes, videos and other content is available too this week.
SuperBot and Sony have announced that Evil Cole from Sucker Punch’s inFamous is joining the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster. Evil Cole harnesses the powers of both electrokinesis and pyrokinesis in battle, offering a style more ruthless in nature than his moral counterpart, Cole MacGrath.
Telltale Games have released a new trailer for The Walking Dead Episode 3, dubbed “Long Road Ahead”. The third episode in the series will release across most platforms this week, although the European PSN date is still pending, and may see a later release date, as was the case with the last episode.
Mass Effect 3 gets new single-player DLC this week, dubbed “Leviathan”, and EA have released a new trailer to show off the DLC. The DLC take place during the game’s mid-section as Shepard continues to scour the galaxy in order to sack the Reapers once and for all.
A new trailer for Naughty Bear: Panic In Paradise has been released showing the new and improved features in the game. The trailer walks through features including improvements in combat, weapon and costume collecting, and the new “Grab” feature.
Rockstar has released a further 4 more screenshots for Grand Theft Auto 5, bringing the total new screenshots for this week to 10. The new set is titled “Business”. The previous two sets were titled Transportation and Leisure, and shows some of the transportation and leisure activities in the game, respectively.
New screenshots of Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale have emerged showing some of the newly announced characters in action, including Sackboy, Spike, Ratchet and Dante. The screens also show more of the different stage featured in the game, including the Stowaway stage announced at Gamescom.
A new trailer for Dishonored has been released, titled ‘Study of Stealth’. The three minute clip shows the various ways a player can stealthily kill someone without arousing suspicion. Too bad it doesn’t include a cardboard box like Metal Gear Solid…
