Watch Dogs: Legion Online Multiplayer Mode Delayed

The online multiplayer mode for Watch Dogs: Legion has been delayed to early 2021, Ubisoft has announced. Instead, the company will be focusing on patching the game and fixing the various bugs and issues players have encountered since launch.

The first of those patches, v2.20, has been released this week for the PS4 and other platforms, while the PS5 version was released last week. The patch fixes a number of issues that would cause the game to crash, and fixes issues related to save data.

The PS5 version of the game is still suffering from others issues, like PS4 owners not being able to upgrade to the PS5 version, which is supposed to be free.

Ubisoft has the following to say on the delay:

As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021. This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single player, and it will give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.
