Crytek have released a impressive trailer showing off visuals from the CryEngine 3 game engine that is used in Crysis 3. The tech demo hints at the sort of visuals we can expect from next-gen console like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox. The trailer includes visuals like lens flares, real-time illumination, water visuals and more.
Apparently, the footage was all captured in real time and taken from Crysis 3. The helicopter scene towards the end of the trailer is especially impressive, almost looking life-like.
