List of PlayStation Vita Games That Require External Memory Card

October 29th, 2011 / XTREME PSP / News

A list has surfaced that shows which PlayStation Vita games will require an additional memory card, and which ones won’t.  It’s worth noting that the games won’t give you the option: those that save to their own dedicated space on the game card will always do so.

The two list of  Japanese titles below show which titles use internal memory and which require the PlayStation Vita memory card. If you download a game from the Store (rather than buying it on a physical card) you’ll obviously be saving to an external card, regardless of the lists below.

Games that save to the internal memory:

  • Asphalt Injection
  • Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
  • F1 2011
  • Dynasty Warriors Next
  • Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru
  • Dark Quest Alliance
  • Army Corps of Hell
  • Shinobido 2
  • Power Smash 4
  • Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend
  • Michael Jackson
  • Mahjong Fight Club
  • Let’s Try Bass Fishing Fish on Next
  • Lord of Apocalypse

And the games that require an external memory card:

  • @field
  • Uncharted
  • Dream Club Zero
  • Disgaea 3 Return
  • Hot Shots Golf 6
  • Monster Raider
  • Ridge Racer

“Games that require a Memory Card to save may do so for various reasons,” says AndriaSang. “For example, they may install data on the card for Live Area or for future content expansion. When a game says that it requires a Memory Card to save, you actually need to have a Memory Card inserted from the start in order to play the game.”
