Sony is prepping two new PS3 Slim consoles for the Japanese market. The brand new units will go on sale in Japan on July 29th 2010, featuring 160GB and 320GB hard drives. Both of the units will be available in the standard black but the 160GB will also be available in white, complete with matching DualShock 3 controller.
The 160GB model will come in at ¥29,980 ($342 / £226) which is the same as the existing 120GB, and the 320GB version will sell for ¥34,980 ($399 / £263).
As usual there is no word as to whether these new units will make it out of Japan, and into Europe and North America. According to an SCEE spokesperson, they have nothing to announce at this time but they “will consider every possibility based on the market demands.”
