LittleBigPlanet Sequel Unofficially Revealed

April 18th, 2010 / Niraj Shah / News

Sony hasn’t announced the sequel to LittleBigPlanet yet, but it is apparently on the way according to IGN latest find. Electronic musician Ochre announced on his Twitter feed that he has licensed a song called “Infotain Me” to Sony for LittleBigPlanet 2. Sony recently acquired developers MediaMolecule, who developed the first LittleBigPlanet title and are presumably also working on the sequel.

LittleBigPlanet was shown off using the PlayStation Move motion controller a while back, so it’s unclear whether LittleBigPlanet 2 will be motion-controlled only or if the first title will also be getting patched to enable PlayStation Move functionality.

IGN did request a comment from Sony but received the usual “Sony does not comment on rumors and speculation” response.
