Sony UK have revealed via twitter that “GTA V will be amazing, especially on the PS4!”, and inadvertently leaking the fact that the game is coming to the next-gen console. The tweet was in response to a user wishing the game was coming to the PS4. The tweet could be a simple misunderstanding or an actual leak from Sony, as the game hasn’t been announced for the PS4.
As you may have read, last week Sony held a PlayStation Vita event in London where journalists and Access members got to try a huge array of games on PS Vita. One of the demo areas had devices set up with the Social Essentials applications. Below, we have a video of how Twitter works on the PlayStation Vita.
Square Enix had something up their sleeves, if their twitter account is anything to go by. According to Sonia Im, Senior PR Manager for Square Enix, the company has a unannounced game that will shock people but didn’t reveal what it was. Sonia’s twitter account stated, “Think people are going to be shocked and stoked.”
If you don’t already know, Naughty Dog’s new title Uncharted 2: Among Thieves supports the micro-blogging network Twitter. Completing chapters, and playing multiplayer games posts ‘tweets’ to your Twitter account, allow your friends to follow your activity within the game. Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour.
