Battlefield 1943 is an online multiplayer World War II first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network via digital download only. Battlefield 1943 has players playing as either the United States Marine Corps (USMC) or the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) with up to 24 players on three classic Battlefield maps: Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. This PSN title only has 12 unlockable trophies, with only one gold trophy.

SCEJ Releases First Pay-To-Play Game For PlayStation 3

Trash Panic is a PSN game released by Sony earlier last month, which costs for £3.99 / €4.99 and includes trophies. Today, a modified version of the game has been released in Japan. Gomi Bako, as the game is known in Japanese, has been released as a pay-to-play game much like real arcade games. It costs ¥100 (approx. 69p) to play and you get 3 lives, but unlike the original game this version unlockes rewards in PlayStation Home.
Rumor Alert: PlayStation Network Connect

PlayStation Network users could be getting a better online experience soon, a newly registered website suggests. PlayStation gamers could be getting a more connected experience with the launch of PSN-Connect. Although the website is currently blank, the domain belongs to SCEA as a simple whois search reveals. Of course, this doesn’t prove anything. It could just be a holding page to protect the PSN Trademark.
Flower Trophy Guide

Flower is the latest game from thatgamecompany, the ingenious minds behind flOw which was one of the earliest and indeed the first indie game to hit the PlayStation Store. In flower, you control a petal and work your way through environments rejuvenating them to become bright and beautiful once more.
I strongly suggest that if you have bought the game, that you play through each of the 6 levels or ‘dreams’ BEFORE looking at this guide – it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience the first time you play through it and I do not want to ruin that for you.
Japan To Get Downloadable Manga For PSP

PlayStation Japan has announced that they will be adding downloadable Manga to the PlayStation Store. While there’s no mention of what manga will be available as well as pricing, this is great news indeed. Although of course, this is only for Japan – but lets hope Sony decides to expand into other regions. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Sony to bring this feature to other territories, though localization could prove to be a hurdle for Sony, especially in Europe.

A downloadable version of the classic 1997 Genesis/Mega Drive game. You’ll face many different enemies and bosses as you battle to stop the dictator from unleashing “Golden Silver the Destructor” with apocalyptic consequences. There are 12 Trophies that can be earned in this title, all of which can be unlocked within a few hours.
Sony To Offer Digital Copies For Old UMD Games

If you are planning to upgrade to the PSP Go! this October, you’re probably wondering what will become of all those UMD games you’ve purchased over the years. Although the UMD format will continue, you won’t be able to use them on the PSP Go! unless you have digital copies of the game. Its looks like Sony has already come up with a solution. According to John Koller, “We’re in the midst of putting together a good will program. […] So we’re looking at a short term good-will program that would continue for years afterward.”
E3 2009: Final Fantasy VII Coming to PlayStation Store Today

Over the weekend we reported that Final Fantasy VII had been listed on the ESRB website for the PlayStation 3 and PSP as a PSOne classic downloadable from the PlayStation Store. In Sony’s E3 Press Conference today, Jack Tretton announced that Final Fantasy VII will be available to download today. We’ve just checked the US PlayStation Stores but it isn’t up yet.
E3 2009: Sony’s Press Conference Summary

If you missed Sony’s press conference, we have a minute-by-minute summary for you below. Some great announcement were made including several new exclusive games including Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, ModNation Racers, Final Fantasy XIV and more.
