As part of yesterday’s US PlayStation Store update, Konami have released Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD as separate downloadable titles from the PlayStation Store on both the PS3 and PS Vita. Konami has also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be available on the PS3 next week.
The fourth and final Summer Sale update in Europe goes live tomorrow, give you discounts on a number of PS3 titles and DLC, PSP titles, PS2 titles and Minis. Unfortunately, there are no new PS Vita titles included in the sale this week. The sale will finish next week on August 28th to be sure to grab the deals before they’re gone.
As announced at Gamescom earlier this week, Japan Studio is working on a new PSN title called rain. In this dark, mysterious world, you take on the role of a boy who becomes invisible, so his figure can only be seen in the rain. A new “announcement” trailer for the game has been released, which you can find below.
Last night, there were rumours that the PlayStation Network was hacked for a second time, and 50GB of emails and passwords were leaked. However, Sony was quick to confirm that the claims “completely false” and that no user data was compromised.
Week 3 of the PSN Summer Sale in Europe begins tomorrow, and Sony has added lots of new titles and DLC to the sale. Week 3 includes PS3 games and DLC, PSOne and PS2 titles, and five PS Vita titles too. Check out the list of new titles below and be sure to check back again for next week’s update.

Deep Silver has announced a new side-scrolling brawler titled Sacred Citadel. The developers are looking to reinvent the genre with lots of playable classes, RPG elements and collectable items. The game will also include multiplayer allowing up to three players to play along side each other.
PSN exclusive title Papo & Yo is less than a week away from release in North America and Europe. To celebrate the upcoming launch, developers Minority have have released a cinematic launch trailer for the game with Rezolution Pictures.
SCEE has posted a list of titles gamers can expect in the Summer Sale, including plenty of PS3, PSP and PSOne games to enjoy. More titles will be added to the sale each week, but here is what you can expect from the start. Unfortunately, there aren’t any PS Vita titles on offer.
