PlayStation Now has been updated with new games as part of the October 2021 update. A total of six new games are being added to the library, including The Last of Us Part II (time limited to January 2022) and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered.

The top download charts for August 2021 has been released, listing the top selling titles on the PlayStation Store. In the US, Madden NFL 22 was the top seller on the PS5, while Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut was the top seller in Europe. Hades also made a strong debut, appearing in the top 5 in both regions.

Battlefield 2042 Delayed by a Month to November 2021

EA has announced a delay to the release of Battlefield 2042, pushing back the release date by a month to November 2021. The reason for the delay is related to unforeseen challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as developers continue to work from home.

Sony has released PS4 Firmware 9.00 to the public today, having been in beta testing for the last couple of months. The biggest change to the PS4 system software in the support for PS5 trophies on the Profile Screen and Trophy List. Just over 10 months after the PS5 launch, this update finally adds PS5 trophy support to the console.

New games join PlayStation Now today, including Final Fantasy VII (the PS1 original) which was announced last week. A total of six new games have been added to the streaming service today, which can be downloaded to the PS4 or PS5, or streamed on PC.

PlayStation Now is getting five Final Fantasy games over the coming month, starting with the original Final Fantasy VII (PS1), which releases on 7th September. Then, a new Final Fantasy game will join PlayStation Now every month until January 2022.

Horizon Forbidden West Special Editions Revealed, Available for Pre-Order

Now that the release date for Horizon Forbidden West is official, the special editions of the game have been revealed. As well as the Standard Edition of the game, Horizon Forbidden West will have four special editions, including a cross-gen Digital Deluxe Edition. However, not all editions give players access to both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game.
