In EA’s E3 2010 Press Conference, the company announced a new DLC pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Gamers will be heading to the harsh Vietnamese jungle this Winter with four new maps playable in classic Battlefield modes including Conquest and Rush.
Sony will be publishing daily PlayStation Store updates through E3 this week, until Thursday 17th. You can already find the NCAA Football 11 PS3 Demo from Electronic Arts in the dedicated E3 2010 category under New Releases. Sony will still be updating the store as usual later today, including the release of Final Fantasy IX.
Unlike last year, we will not be live blogging Sony’s Press Conference. Frankly, we don’t see the point seeing as half the gaming community will be doing it for us. The E3 trailer of Metal Gear Solid Rising has been released by Kojima Productions. The title was announced exactly a year ago at Microsoft’s E3 2009 Press Conference. Check out the video below which shows the first gameplay footage of the game as well as displayed the game’s primary gameplay mechanic where the player can literally ‘cut anything’. Raiden was shown cutting enemies, walls, vehicles and watermelons.

The US PlayStation Website suggests that new hardware will be revealed at E3 this week. The website states, “The E3 expo is coming! Meet us here to find out what awesome PlayStation games and hardware are being revealed.” In addition, CVG has learned that Sony is set to reveal two new PS3 SKUs this week which will come bundled with the Move motion controller.

The development of Gran Turismo 5 has been stuck at 90% for a while. MVC UK now reports that the stalled development is because of the implementation of 3D and PlayStation Move support. Personally, I think it good to have 3D and Move support from the start, rather than waiting for patches to the game.
After the delay to the release of Gran Turismo 5 back in March, a final release date was never revealed. With E3 just weeks away, a new “final” release date may be announced at Sony’s Press Conference. In the last update, Gran Turismo 5 was still in development but a unconfirmed September release date was revealed by some retailers.
VG247 has learnt that Sony is to reveal plans for PSN’s premium services at E3. According to a highly-placed source, Sony will announce a large-scale monetizing scheme for PSN at the LA show next month, but it will not impact the service’s current free aspects (like online gaming).
EA is all prepped for E3 2010 next month, and has officially announced their games line-up. A number of games have been confirmed for the expo including Dead Space 2, FIFA 11 and The Sims 3 Console. The press conference will take place on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM, and will be hosted by John Riccitiello, John Schappert, and other EA execs.
