The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Aliens vs Predator will no longer be getting any new DLC and patches. Sega has announced they will be cutting further support for the title, but they didn’t state why support was being cut. The PC version of the game remains unaffected, for now.
Recently, SEGA announced Alien vs. Predator threads available for purchase in PlayStation Home. The costumes are limited edition and will be taken off the store at the end of March. SEGA Europe has announced that full outfits from Aliens vs Predator are now available on PlayStation Home Thread Store for the PS3. These costumes, a male and female version for each species in the game, are offered as complete packages, but also available to download separately. These downloads are accessible for a limited time, and will be taken out of the Thread Store on the 31st of March.
Already included in the special edition of Aliens vs. Predator, the Swarm map pack has been slated for a March 18th release for the general public priced at $7, which will consist of two competitive multiplayer maps and two cooperative mode maps.
Sega Europe has announced that the official Aliens vs. Predator virtual costumes will be available for purchase today from the European PlayStation Home Thread Store, for a limited time only. Costumes include the male and female version of the Alien, Predator and Marine.
The three-way rumble between the Colonial Marines, the Predators, and the Aliens will commence today when the multiplayer demo of emAliens vs. Predator/em hits the PlayStation Store. Sega has confirmed that the demo will launch simultaneously on PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam today.
